This site is dedicated to Berlin-Wannsee. Wannsee is a suburb on the south-western edge of Berlin in Germany. However the name Wannsee reminds many people of the Holocaust, because the conference on the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question" was held in Wannsee in 1942. This web site is not about this darkest side of German history; this site is about Wannsee today, its people, its churches, sports clubs and shops. It's a web site for those who are living in Wannsee, for those 'Wannseers' who live abroad and for those who would like to drop in one day. If you are searching for information about the "Wannsee-Konferenz", have a look at the link section, there are others on the web who know more about this.
This site is about Wannsee, but it is an unequal collection of pieces. Brought to life by young people from the community of the protestant church, it has a strong focus on that community, the webmasters' friends and hobbies. This doesn't mean that it couldn't be different. Everybody in Wannsee is encouraged to provide his or her own contents, to drop in to discuss further extensions or to just fill these pages with life.
